LEATHER CARE
01. friction
Care with sharp objects and rough surfaces is essential. Leather does not peel like synthetic materials, but friction with rough surfaces can remove its surface layer, leaving the layer underneath visible.
2. ADHESIVE TAPE
Do not place any type of adhesive tape on the surface of the product, as it may remove the surface layer of the leather, leaving an unwanted mark.
3. SUN EXPOSURE
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or any source of extreme heat, heat can “burn” the leather, changing its color and feel.
4. PROTECTION AGAINST MOISTURE
The leather must not be wet. Contact with water and excessive humidity causes irreversible damage to its original characteristics. Protect your bag from rain or other sources of moisture and, if the item gets wet, let it dry at room temperature.
5. CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES
Irreparable damage to the color of the product's leather can be caused by pen or other fabric ink, alcohol gel and other chemical, abrasive and organic substances. Be extra careful with dark clothes that release paint when in contact with light leather.
6. STORAGE
Do not store the leather item in a plastic bag. Lack of ventilation can cause discoloration and mold. To store and transport your product, keep it in our cotton dust bag.
7. HANDLING
Store your stuffed pieces and never stack them. Leather molds to the way it is stored and used, this care as well as handling the piece as it is used will help maintain the original shape of the piece, increasing its longevity.

8. PROPER CLEANING
Light stains can be removed with our Bag Cleaner or a slightly damp cloth. Never use cleaning fluids that are not suitable for leather, detergents, oils or alcohol. To maintain uniformity in coloring, you must perform the procedure over the entire area. And remember, before applying any method, test it on a hidden area of the piece.
Important! Cleaning your bag should be done periodically, leaving dirt on your product for long periods is likely to make removal impossible.
9. SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP
In case of stains or deep dirt, look for professionals specialized in cleaning leather items. In case of everyday dirt, such as makeup and dust, use our Bag Cleaner.

10. WATERPROOFING
To give Nubuck extra protection you must apply a waterproofing agent for Nubucks. This application must be carried out periodically and the time gap between applications must be defined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the intensity of use of the product. For daily use of the bag, we recommend applying it every month. Waterproofing works as a barrier to the accumulation of dirt, they only prevent light dirt (dust) and water drips. They are not effective for other types of dirt.
11. PROTECTION AGAINST RAIN
Never get your piece wet. Always check the weather forecast before leaving home and, if the forecast calls for rain, choose another material. Nubuck and rain don't make a good combination. If you use it, protect your bag as much as possible.
12. WASTE ON HANDS
Some of the most common stains on Nubuck come from makeup residue and organic materials on fingers. When handling your bag, make sure your hands are clean.
13. DARK CLOTHES
Some clothes can release paint even when dry, especially dark pants. Never use this type of item with a Nubuck bag, as friction can stain your bag.

14. BRUSHING
A soft-bristled brush is an essential tool for removing any remaining dirt from the surface. Make sure you run the brush in the direction of the grain, and not in the opposite direction, fibers in opposite directions can also give the appearance of dirt.
15. PROFESSIONAL CLEANING
In case of stains or deep dirt, look for professionals specialized in cleaning suede items. Never use cleaning fluids, detergents, oils or alcohol.
